Match Material
Description
DecalMaster Materials are Maya StandardSurface materials connected to a node tree that branches into three sub-materials, each of which can be matched to another material:
-
Material 1
The material used to match decals, trims & one side of flows with the material used by the underlying target mesh.
-
Subset
An optional material used for additional material detailing within decals, flows & trims.
-
Material 2
A material used exclusively by flows as a second side material to transition between two different materials used by the underlying target mesh.
When auto matching materials, including when decals, trims & flows are placed, only Material 1 and Material 2 are matched to materials used by the underlying target mesh, Subset is always auto matched to Material 1.
Be Aware
DecalMaster Materials can only be matched with Maya StandardSurface and aiStandardSurface materials and only their base parameters, i.e. color, specular roughness, metalness. Any nodes connected to the materials will be ignored.
